Love him or hate him, The Miz has rightfully earned his place amongst the all-time greats in the company. He is the ultimate heel that gets organic heat albeit it is not the case anymore.
The Miz will be one of the 8-men competing for the Money in the Bank briefcase at next month’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The A-lister looks to get his hands on the contract and cash-in to become a world champion once again.
The Miz recently sat down for an interview with the Sports Illustrated where he talked about bringing prestige back to the WWE Championship. The Miz said that it saddens him when he sees the most prized possession in the business not even making it to the main event of the show.
My goal is to make the WWE championship as relevant and prestigious as it should be. Do I think AJ Styles is doing a terrific job as WWE champion? Absolutely.
But that WWE championship should be in the main event of every single WWE pay per view. It upsets me when I see that it is not.
My goal is to not only win the Money in the Bank contract, cash it in and become WWE champion. I want to put that title back where it belongs: the main event.
Honestly, at this point in the Miz’s career, it wouldn’t hurt to put the title on him. The man is not only a fan-favourite amongst the fans but also highly respected by his peers.
Furthermore, people could also get to witness Daniel Bryan vs The Miz for the World title, a story that has written itself for almost a decade.
