The WrestleMania weekend is going bigger than ever, as WrestleMania Axxess event will feature exciting tournaments, the winners of which will be allowed to challenge for certain championships.
There will be four invitational tournaments. The four tournaments will take place beginning during Axxess Day 1 and culminate during Axxess Day 4 with the tournament winners facing their respective champions in title matches.
The UK Championship invitational tournament will include several non British wrestlers like Lio Rush, Buddy Murphy, Dan Matha, Drew Gulak, Lince Dorado and Raul Mendoza. British wrestlers Mark Andrews and Zack Gibson will also be a part of the tournament.
Another tournament will be an invitational for the newly created NXT North American Championship. The participants includes Fabian Aichner, Jason Kincaid, Akira Tozawa, Kona Reeves, Chris Dijak, Ariya Daivari, Hideo Itami and Wolfgang.
Another tournament will be an invitational for the NXT Women’s Championship. Renowned tag teams from NXT and live events will be a part of the tournament. The tag teams include Moustache Mountain, Sabbatelli and Moss, Street Profits, Bononi and Zaoude, Sanity, Forgotten Sons, TM61 and Lorcan and Burch.
The final tournament is an invitational for the NXT Women’s championship. Nikki Cross, Aliyah, Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce and Candice LeRae will be part of the invitational.
All the winners of tournaments will get their title shot on the final day of Axxess.
Axxess will also feature matches between Kassius Ohno and Keith Lee and another match between Kassius Ohno and WALTER. Multiple champions of PROGRESS will be fought after at the last day of Axxess.
The NXT talents not getting a TakeOver spot and the UK division guys will get ample spot at these Axxess events along with the newly signed talents. WWE is currently highly secretive of WALTER’s status, he might be signed if he impresses the officials in his match against Kassius Ohno.
