Ronda Rousey made her official WWE debut at Royal Rumble, appearing at the end of the show and pointing to the WrestleMania sign as a show of things to come.

She then turned up again at Elimination Chamber, to “officially” sign her WWE contract.

However, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, who was also present at the signing, caused quite a stir when he revealed to Rousey that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H had been plotting to get back at her for her humiliation of them at WrestleMania 31, hand in hand with the Rock.

Incensed, Rousey then put Triple H through a table and was slapped by Stephanie McMahon as a result.

Monday Night Raw the next day picked up where Elimination Chamber had left off, with Rousey showing up outraged that she had been slapped by Stephanie McMahon and demanding an apology.

However Kurt Angle, clearly under duress to keep his job, backtracked on the accusations that he made against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon the previous night.

However, Rousey was still not placated and demanded an apology from Stephanie anyway, threatening to rip her arm off should she not get it.

Backed into a corner, Stephanie McMahon hurriedly made an apology and made for leaving the ring along with Triple H, who suddenly turned back and socked Kurt Angle with a cheap shot before exiting.

The segment closed with Rousey tending to Angle as Stephanie and Triple backed up.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and MMA Fighting, says that this segment is the beginning of the build to Rousey’s in-ring debut at WrestleMania, where she will team with Kurt Angle as part of an Olympic team and face the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

If you recall, Kurt Angle won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling in the 1996 Olympic Games and Ronda herself is a bronze medallist in Judo.

And this program at WrestleMania 34 is intended to kickstart an Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon-esque rivalry between Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon in the long term.
