Rousey is all set to team with fellow Olympic Medallist Kurt Angle to take on the nefarious duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on April 8th.

Speaking to WWE, she narrated her life journey from the impact her dad had on her as a child, to winning an Olympic medal, to her UFC victories and losses and finally, how she was ‘always meant to be at WrestleMania’.

Then UFC was all I thought I was ever gonna care about. And then life happens and things change.

Winning in WrestleMania, it feels like all I’ve ever cared about. I’ve been accumulating all the skills along the way to be the best at this.

I was always meant to be on this stage. I was always meant to be at WrestleMania.

Rousey was last seen in the Octagon at UFC 207 when she suffered a devastating knockout loss to Amanda Nunes in her second and what would turn out to be for the time being – final – loss in the Octagon before she decided to hang up her fighting gloves and don her wrestling boots.

She made her WWE debut right after the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble event closed the show, and pointed at the WrestleMania 34 sign to signal her intent to be at the grandest pro wrestling event of the year.

In the weeks since then, she has been building up to the event by feuding with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
