Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose has been sidelined with an injury since December and the injury looks very brutal. It was reported that Ambrose will at least be out of action for 8 months.

While on the tour of South Africa earlier this week, Rollins appeared on KFM Mornings and talked about a lot of wrestling related stuff. The Architect was eventually asked about the status of his Shield-brother Dean Ambrose.
Rollins answered to that question by predicting the time of the year when the Lunatic Fringe might return to the WWE. Rollins said that Ambrose is still working on the brutal injury that has cost him months of action: (h/t wrestlinginc)
[Dean] Ambrose is injured, yes. I don’t know the whereabouts or the details of his injury,” Rollins said. “He had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier this year, so, he’s definitely still on the mend and rehabbing. But he’ll be back and better than ever, you wait, Summer time, maybe late Spring. Somewhere in there I think, whenever that wily guy gets back to normal.
Furthermore, the current Intercontinental Champion was asked if the Shield will get back together upon Ambrose’s return. Here’s what Rollins had to say about it:
Yeah, we’re all buds, I mean, we’ll probably be doing our own thing. There’s no hard feelings there, we’re all still friends, so you can still pickup your Shield shirt at WWE Shop.
This answer indicates neither of the three members is too keen on a Shield reunion. It is understandable because all three of them are main event players and Grand Slam Champions. Therefore, an ambitious singles career is what all three of them might be aiming for.
Ambrose’s return from his injury is being anticipated by his co-workers and his fans alike.
