Ever since Shawn Michaels hung up his boots, talks of him coming back have been around. However, on more than one occasion, the Heart Break Kid has made it clear that he is done with his in-ring career for good.

The Heart Break Kid managed to resist a lucrative deal

Shawn Michaels’s close friend X-Pac aka Sean Waltman confirmed on his podcast, X-Pac 1,2,360 that Michaels was indeed offered a heck load of money to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble. However, Michaels, who is adamant about his decision to stay retired, declined this tempting offer. (h/t: wrestlinginc)

[There’s] a lot of money being thrown around. It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around. I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that. They wanted to get Shawn [Michaels], and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me.’ Because there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that, and that’s all there is to it.

This goes to show that Mr.WrestleMania has left the ring behind him for good. Michaels is now a proper family man who’d choose his kids over a hefty amount of money.

Even though Michaels works with the up and coming talent at the WWE Performance Center and NXT, he likes to stay out of any and all in-ring activities. This was made evident when he refused an offer for a dream match against one of his favourite performers AJ Styles, even after Vince McMahon himself reached out to him.
