WWE: Speculation on Brock Lesnar’s next Title defence

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will break CM Punk’s long-standing record of being the longest reigning world champion of the modern era. However, there’s no word about Brock Lesnar’s next title defence and when it will happen.

When will the Beast defend his Universal Championship in the WWE again?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Lesnar shouldn’t be expected to put his Universal title on the line before SummerSlam. The biggest party of the Summer takes place in the month of August which is quite far away.

As of right now, there are no plans for the Beast to defend his title at July’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Pittsburgh. However, there could always be a change in plans since even this show is a month away.

WWE’s decision to keep Lesnar off TV could very well fire back as the Beast carries the top prize of its flagship show. The Universal Title has rarely appeared on TV as of late which leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
