Two weeks back at UFC Boston, Yair Rodriguez defeated Jeremy Stephens via unanimous decision at the TD Garden Arena. It was a rematch of the first fight that ended in an NC after the fight was stopped following an eye poke in just 15-seconds.
Now following his victory at Boston, the Mexican featherweight has his eyes set on former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor. In a Social Media post, Rodriguez uploaded a video where he was seen burning a candle with a picture of McGregor on it.

In this post, he referred to McGregor as a Saint and said that he wants to fight his biggest fan i.e Yair Rodriguez himself. Although Yair still fights at featherweight division and McGregor hasn’t made the 145lb limit ever since his fight against Jose Aldo in 2015.
McGregor last fought against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last year and lost the fight via fourth-round submission. McGregor hasn’t won a fight in nearly three years.
