Former UFC middleweight title challenger Yoel Romero is all set to fight Paulo Costa at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California this weekend at UFC 241. However, ahead of the fight, there are some pressing issues that have to be addressed and that is Yoel Romero’s weight issues.
Yoel Romero has had trouble making weight before in his career. He has struggled to make middleweight limit on numerous occasions. However, Romero brushed off the weight concerns while talking to the media ahead of UFC 241.
“I don’t have a problem with my division,” Romero told MMA Junkie in an interview. “I don’t care. When I think I can’t do something, I don’t do it. When you have a little doubt, don’t do it.” He said. (H/T – MMAJunkie.com)
“No, why? I know what happened the last two fights,” he said. “I know. This time, I don’t have stress. I don’t care. I’m very happy. I’m here.”
Romero is coming off of a split decision loss against Robert Whittaker at UFC 225 last year. On the other hand, Paulo Costa is coming off of a technical knockout win over Uriah Hall at UFC 226 last year.
