In a shocking news, it is being reported that the man behind the heinous terror attack in Dagestan was part of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Eagle MMA. UFC GOAT Khabib started Eagle MMA to bring out raw talented local fighters to a global stage.
On 23 June 2024, a group of armed men attacked multiple targets across Dagestan. Multiple places of worship were also attacked in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. It was reported that 20 people lost their lives and multiple people were injured.

Hours after the news of the attack, it was reported in the local Russian media that one of the terrorist is a MMA fighter. Later it was confirmed that one Ghadzimurad Kagirov (Eagle MMA fighter) was involved in the terror attack.

Islam Makhachev Gave a Message of Peace
UFC champion’s hometown saw most violence during the terror attack. He sent a message of peace in a post on social media he said, “The religion of Islam prohibits violence against innocent people by anyone. Whether it’s an attack on a person, their honor, or their property, nothing justifies shedding blood, taking lives, or causing harm to peace and personal integrity. These inhumane acts should not be associated with the wonderful religion of Islam, where such actions are strictly condemned and prohibited!”
