Anatoly Malykhin, the enigmatic three-division ONE world champion, has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the mixed martial arts (MMA) universe. His accolades speak volumes, and fellow Russian superstar and UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has bestowed upon him a title that sends shivers down spines: “Most dangerous guy on the planet.”

The Triple-Champ’s ONE Championship Dominance

Anatoly Malykhin’s collection of belts alone validates Makhachev’s claim. But it’s not just about hardware. The 36-year-old fighter possesses an aura that transcends mere statistics. His 14 career wins? All ending in either a submission or a knockout. His approach? Unconventional.

Despite being a Master of Sport in Freestyle Wrestling, Malykhin relies on dynamite boxing to render opponents unconscious. It’s a lethal combination that keeps opponents awake at night.

Malykhin’s reign extends to ONE Championship, where he boasts an unblemished record. His six wins—all by knockout—paint a picture of sheer dominance. At ONE: Bad Blood in February 2022, he claimed the ONE interim heavyweight MMA world title by knocking out Kirill Grishenko. Later that year, he added the ONE light heavyweight MMA world title to his collection, dispatching Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December.

But he didn’t stop there. Malykhin’s crowning achievement came when he unified the heavyweight belts by mauling Arjan Bhullar at ONE Friday Fights 22 in June 2023. And just recently, he secured the ONE middleweight MMA world title with a TKO win over de Ridder at ONE 166 on 1st March in Qatar.

Makhachev- the undefeated 155-pound king of the Octagon, has shed appraisal on his compatriot. Taking to Instagram, the UFC lightweight champ addressed Malykhn as “Most dangerous guy [on] the planet.”

The Grit Behind Anatoly Malykhin’s Glory

Becoming a world champion is a dream for any fighter. Holding titles in three different divisions? Almost mythical. Malykhin’s journey is one of relentless dedication. His coach, Jonny Hutchinson, wakes him up at 4 am daily, pushing him to the limits. The sacrifices, the sweat, the early mornings—it’s all part of the triple-champ’s story.
