Mohammed Farhad, known by his fighting moniker “Sher-e-Hind,” is a prominent Indian mixed martial artist (MMA) who has left an indelible mark on the global MMA scene with his time at Brave CF. Now, he is set to fight for MFN Bantamweight interim title on Mar 9 2024. He holds a MMA record of 12 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest.
Farhad made his presence felt in the Middle East after signing with the Bahrain-based global MMA promotion, Brave Combat Federation. Mohammed Farhad is currently training at the Phuket Fight Club in Thailand. However, during his time with Brave C.F, he did multiple camps in the Russian province of Dagestan. “He talked about what makes it different then India. He said, “In Dagestan, every kid is a grappler and still they go and explore. They go to other gyms and learn and comeback, that is how you will improve your techniques.”

He revealed that in Dagestan, MMA enjoys the same popularity as Cricket in India.
“MMA is huge over there after Khabib Nurmagomedov became a champion in the UFC. Like cricket is here in India, I would say MMA is bigger in Dagestan. It is that huge. All the fighters over there, they are training since childhood.”
