Leon Edwards is set to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC Singapore. Despite going up against a veteran opponent Edwards is riding high on confidence.
In a recent interview, he also mentioned that he plans to put Cerrone away on the fight night.
“I just feel like I’m better than the kid. I feel I’ve got better striking, better grappling, better everything. I’m 26 years old. He’s like 35, 36, and I feel like I’ll go out there and put him away,” he said. (via MMA Junkie)
The 26-year-old Edwards currently holds a professional record of 15-3 at the moment and is currently on a five-fight winning streak. His last defeat came against Kamaru Usman back in 2015. Cerrone, meanwhile, is coming off a win against Yancy Medeiros. He was on a three-fight skid prior to this win over Medeiros at UFC Fight Night 126.
UFC Singapore is scheduled to take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 23, 2018.
