Nate Diaz has expressed his desire to appear at UFC 306 in Las Vegas. Noche UFC was a success last year, so Dana White promised the audience that he would host an annual event each year to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. The very first card of the event saw Alexa Grasso defend her flyweight title controversially in the much-anticipated rematch against Valentina Shevchenko. Diaz announced his interest In a post on social media that he wants to return to the octagon and find his way onto the UFC 306 card in September.

Dustin Poirier shared his point of view amidst all this ruckus about Nate Diaz returning to UFC.
“We spoke about Nate a little bit, but I don’t think they’re bringing him back. I’m not sure. I don’t want to get into all that stuff. I don’t know what’s going on, but no, no other big names. Nothing was thrown… The Nate one is going to get away. I don’t know how many fights I have left – I think six with the UFC. He’s moving on to boxing and stuff.
