Tony Ferguson and Colby Covington had a roller-coaster altercation at the UFC 296 press conference in Las Vegas. They went from being at each other’s throats to rooting for Team America real quick.
The eagerly awaited UFC 296 press conference was filled with interesting exchanges, one between Leon Edward and “Chaos” stole the show but this conversation between Ferguson and Colby had so many twists that M Night Shyamalan will be proud. Colby doubted ‘El-Cucuy’s fighting spot at the event and made fun of his losing streak “Damn, Tony! I was rooting for you. You know I like America, I’m still gonna root for you even if you’re an American douchebag. But, just don’t go out there and lose seven fights in a row bro. Fu****g B*m! Fu****g B*m!” Colby Covington said at the press conference.
Tony Ferguson is set to face Paddy Pimblett aiming to end his six-fight losing streak, Colby Covington on the other hand is making a comeback after a 21-month layoff to face Leon Edwards for the welterweight title.

Even after the provocation, Ferguson kept his cool. Even after starting with a heated altercation, they went on to compliment each other and cheer for America together
“I fu****g woke up dude and realized how American I am man. So, I’m gonna be real…The stars and stripes are going nowhere, they belong here. So regardless of this fu****g wins and I win, we’re gonna keep that fu****g sh** here. That was a compliment Bi***. Alright Colby, let’s fu****g do this sh**. Fu** yeah! America motherf****”
This altercation led to hilarious reactions from the fans and it was a fun little exchange from “El-Cucuys” and “Chaos” before their fight against Paddy Pimblett and Leon Edwards respectively.
