Ever since his Interim title win, Tom Aspinall is calling out Jon Jones and looking at Jones’ recent twitter outburst the John Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight is inevitable. The only question is: When will it happen?
I mean, it doesn’t really work like that. I was a champion when I was 23 years old, you can’t show up at age 30 pretending like you’ve been chasing me your whole life. I have no clue who 90% of his résumé is, meanwhile, I’ve been highlighting UFC events my entire career. https://t.co/aJdJT8UpGm

The ace fighter is currently out because of a ‘Pec Injury’. And in a new update the UFC Heavyweight champion reveals that he is also working on a 2nd injury.
He talks about his recent surgery to handle a problem with his left elbow where he had to shave bone spurs. Now the fans are wondering when will he be back to answer the calls of Tom Aspinall. He also gave a possible timeline for his expected return from his absence since the bout against Ciryl Gane.
🚨| Jon Jones has revealed he underwent surgery on his left elbow earlier today.
He says the recovery is around 10 weeks and got it done as he knew he was going to be out anyway so he thought he’d "kill two birds” whilst he also recovers from his torn pec.#UFC #MMA pic.twitter.com/6rIBymAHWy

What’s Next: John Jones vs Tom Aspinall OR Stipe Miocic
Ever since the bout, Jon Jones expressed his desire to fight Stipe Miocic, former two-time UFC Heavyweight champion. Jones wants to cement his position in the history books by beating arguably the greatest heavyweight fighter in the history of UFC.
Now, UFC Interim Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has challenged Jon Jones for the championship but Jones is complacent to accept the challenge and replied by mentioning the record of Aspinall.
However, Dana White is not convinced for John Jones vs Tom Aspinall. (As per reports)

Jones and Miocic was officially scheduled to main event UFC 295 on 12th November, but it failed following Jones pulling out from the bout with a pec injury. Jones probably won’t be able to attend the major UFC 300 but his return timeline hasn’t altered with the elbow surgery. He is likely to return in the 2nd half of 2024.
10 Weeks to Recover: Details about the Surgery
He mentioned details of the surgery too as he posted “Instead of doing a pec repair, we are working on my left elbow, I’m actually about one hour off the table, we had a two-hour surgery shaving down some bone spurs. Good news is that it’s about a ten-week heal process, and I’m out for months anyways because of this pec surgery. So I just thought I’d kill two birds and get this elbow taken care of once and for all…Sometimes you have to take a small step back in order to move forward.”
Even though he’s out of action, he still is the UFC Heavyweight champion and the bout with Miocic is to be rescheduled as per availability of the two fighters. Now the question to answer is: Will it be John Jones vs Tom Aspinall or Miocic will be the first bout in the making after his return.
