After that, Tate had to fight the famous Ronda Rousey. In the first round, Miesha was able to restrain Ronda. However, in the second round, Rousey attempted to do the armbar. Tate was not going to concede and, offering resistance, got a serious arm injury.

In 2013, Miesha entered into an agreement with the UFC. In her first fight, she was defeated by Cat Zingano by TKO. According to Miesha, the fight was scheduled too early.

Cat, as the winner, was supposed to fight Ronda Rousey, but she was injured and went for surgery. Tate replaced her. The second fight between Miesha and Ronda took place on December 28, 2013 at UFC 168. Tate showed the will to win and an impressive fight, but she lost again with an elbow lever.

After that, Miesha defeated Liz Carmouche and Rin Nakai. In 2015, she took over Sarah McMann and Jessica I.

In 2016, Miesha faced off against UFC champion Holly Holm, who had previously defeated Ronda Rousey. Nobody believed in Tate’s success. She was losing the fight. However, in the last round, she successfully performed a takedown and managed to submit Holm. Unfortunately, Miesha lost the first defense of the won title to Amanda Nunes.

On November 12, 2016, Tate had her last fight in the UFC. She was defeated by Raquel Pennington and ended her MMA career. Miesha had 19 wins and 7 losses on her account.
