Sean Strickland says he ‘would love’ to kill somebody in a fight

UFC middleweight prospect Sean Strickland has made a bold statement saying that he would love to kill somebody in a fight.

The week leading up to his main event clash with Uriah Hall was surprising to many fans as they all got to see an up-close view of Sean’s mindset towards fighting. His approach towards the fight game is very rare and there are few others with the same approach but his mindset seems to be very different than most of the fighters.

At UFC Vegas 33 Sean Strickland but on a show, as he defeated Middleweight contender Uriah Hall by a Lopsided unanimous decision. Though the fight got scored 50-44, 50-45, and 49-46, Sean wasn’t happy with his performance and said that he needs to develop some power and get the finish.

“I need to learn how to hit harder,” Strickland told the media at the UFC on ESPN 28 post-fight news conference. “I kind of hit like a pansy. I kind of sucked. They’re like, ‘You know you won the middleweight striking record.’ I’m like, ‘What does that mean? That means I can’t hit that hard.’”

He also wasn’t concern about the ranking of the UFC. He revealed that he just loves fighting and keeps doing that rather than focusing on the rankings.

“It is what it is,” Strickland said. “I’ve been training for so long. There’s always going to be another killer. It is what it is. I’ll fight somebody again in the next few months. I might win. I might get knocked out. I just like making money.”

Sean Strickland also talked about his fighting approach and what he feels about the fight game.

“If you like to f*cking hurt people, you’re in the right sport,” Strickland shouted. “I would love nothing more than to kill somebody in the ring. Nothing more. It would make me super happy.

“I would own that sh*t, too. I don’t know if it would make me liable, I might have to say I’m sorry if the cops came, but I would own that sh*t. Own it. Be a psychopath, it’s f*cking fun!”

In many interviews leading up to the fight, Sean talked about his goals and the sole reason for him fighting his money.

“I’m probably the last person they want as the champion,” Strickland said. “‘So Sean what do you think about the UFC?’ I mean it’s cool, they pay me well, it’s cool. I’m the last one they probably want to be the champion.”
