Former UFC welterweight title challenger and the new middleweight contender Darren Till has some vicious plans in store for his fight against Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 36. Darren Till is set to fight Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 36 on September 4. The fight will be an important matchup in the middleweight landscape considering the factor that the division is lacking new challenges for the champion Israel Adesanya to face. Adesanya became the champion after claiming up the division and is continuing to do so. The only top fighter he hasn’t been faced off against is Till and a win over Bunson who is riding an amazing win streak could put him right in the top spot of the division.

 Derek Brunson vs Darren Till

During the prefight media day, Darren Till talked about his game plan for his fight and stated his violent intentions for Burnson.

“With Derek, it’s been a bit cooler, like he’s a cool guy. He’s done about a million memes of me on Instagram, I couldn’t even keep up, so I was like, ‘You know what? Derek wins the social media trolling.’ He trolled me good,” Till said at media day. “It was fun, it was lighthearted, and that’s true, I know he says I’m a bit weird with me stuff, like he’s saying, ‘One day Till’s wishing me family well, the other day he’s putting things up.’ I wish his family well, I hope he’s got money, I hope he’s okay, but I’m still gonna go there and punch a f*****g hole in his head on Saturday. That’s the mentality and I hope he’s got that same mentality. But it’s all love.”

“He’s beaten all these top guys. I’m not trying to discredit Kevin Holland and Shahbazyan and the other guys he’s beat and say, you know, I’m a different monster,” Till said. “I know I’m a different monster but he’s beaten all these top guys, he’s on a f*****g roll, he knows what he wants, he knows the man he is and what he wants to be. I have to respect that, as always.”

Till also talked about his feeling prior to the fight and shared his thought on how he looks at this fight as he is coming of few injuries.

“I’m just happy to be here,” Till said during the media day at the UFC Apex. “It’s tough. It’s tough to have injuries and go through camps after camps and spend a lot of money and, you know, obviously have to pull out. I mean, last fight was very unfortunate because it was only like two or three weeks before where I broke my collarbone. I mean, if it was 10 weeks before the fight and I broke my collarbone, I was definitely still fighting. But it’s just – it reminds me a lot of like when Dominick Cruz was getting a lot of setbacks and injuries. You’ve just got come through them, and you’ve got to come through them, and here I am a few days before, and I’m a very happy man.”
